Before June 15th, contact City Council in support of the Equitable Housing Strategic Plan!
On June 15, there will be a public hearing on the Equitable Housing Strategic Plan and a proposal to establish an ongoing group to oversee equity actions throughout the city to dismantle historic and systemic racism.
If you showed up to the Black Lives Matter peace protest on June 10, I strongly encourage you to write to Council about your support of the plan, proposed group, and to address historic inequity in housing by prioritizing action to address the following gaps:
People of color, and their need for affordable, multi-room homes to support multi-generational housing.
Single-parent homes and their need for affordable housing that is connected to jobs, transit, and services.
Low or fixed-income individuals and families, and their need for homeownership.
People in need of emergency, transitional, or supportive housing.
Before June 15, take the following actions:
