Starting on page 6, there is a review of the following:

  • Federal, state, and local policing changes in light of George Floyd’s murder

  • The 8 Can’t Wait proposal and how Beaverton, Tigard, Lake Oswego, West Linn, and the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office (which are the police in Wilsonville) have responded

  • Lessons learned from talking with other cities - Happy Valley and Estacada - that contract with Clackamas County for policing

  • My Brother’s Keeper Initiative, developed by The Obama Foundation, which Wilsonville’s neighboring city - Tualatin - has pledged to do

Promoted by The Obama Foundation, the My Brother's Keeper Initiative will be discussed. Wilsonville’s neighboring city of Tualatin has signed on to the pledge.
